Business Breakfast

Our annual Business Breakfast offers students a fantastic opportunity to network with industry leaders within their respective professions, whilst also providing attending firms exposure to WA’s best and brightest students. In 2019, we saw over 160 students and firm representatives from a range of backgrounds attend. Our guest speaker, Karl Simich, entertained all with his numerous stories from graduating at UWA to becoming CEO of Sandfire Resources.

Foundations Of The Future

Held in the second semester of the year, Foundations of the Future centres around a panel discussion featuring successful businesspeople from a range of backgrounds. Issues at the forefront of industry are explored, such as workplace diversity, STEM education, and breaking into business. Following the discussion, there is a Q&A between the panel and crowd, as well as networking, where students and firms are able to converse over drinks and canapés in a formal lobby.

Intern Speaker Panel

The Internship Discussion Panel brings together five WA students to discuss their experiences working in a range of firms. With backgrounds covering investment banking, management consultancy, law and engineering, the event engages a diverse group, with over 140 students attending last year’s event. Participants are able to submit questions anonymously both prior to the event and in real-time. This maximises the value students are able to extract from the event, helping them learn important skills and lessons that will help them throughout their careers.
