FAWA’s workshops provide students with the skills to write effective resumes, hone their excel skills and learn first-hand from professionals how a transaction is handled. Workshops are conducted to complement vacation work deadlines.
FAWA holds its Financial Modelling workshop over four weeks across March and April.
This workshop is designed to prepare students with the financial modelling skills they will need for an internship or graduate position in an investment bank. The workshop covers the fundamentals of Excel and good model design, how to construct a fully operational DCF, as well as an introduction to model sensitising, scenario testing, pitch-book design and comparables analysis
FAWA holds its Resume and Interview Workshops in May each year to align with graduate applications for investment banking and management consulting firms.
This two week workshop includes interview tips for investment banking and management consulting firms, personalised feedback on student’s resumes by the FAWA committee’s best resume tutors and recruitment advice from representatives from our sponsor firms.
FAWA’s Anatomy of the Deal workshop runs over two sessions across two weeks in August, and aims to breakdown the components of a deal. The workshops are presented by the FAWA committee covering issues including IPOs, Equity Raisings, Debt and M&A. Each workshop also includes a presentation by representatives from our sponsor firms about recent deals they have undertaken.
